Well boys and girls, I was wrong. Duke will not be cutting down the nets on April 3.
They are not even going to be in the Elite 8. Last night in a sad sad game against LSU, my Duke Blue Devils lost. My boy JJ Reddick couldn’t hit a shot. Nothing was going. He was cold in the first half and even colder in the second. I nearly cried it was so sad.
Anyway… I want to thank all my friends who have called with condolences. And even those who have called to … how you say… ‘rub it in’.
We are Duke. We’ll be back next year!

Where the heck is Bradley? Is it in Illinois or Michigan?
I just looked it up… its in Peroria Illinois. A tiny school with like 5000 students. 12 of whom are kicking butt in the NCAA tourney. This Missouri Valley Conference team is pretty cool. People better start paying attention to them.
The NCAA lessons:
#1 basketball is not just played in the east coast
#2 the tourney seedings don’t really matter
#3 g-mac isn’t overrated the whole big east conference is overrated
(i’m a little bitter here. i had both Pitt and Syracuse in my Sweet 16)

after the first 2 days of play, here’s how i stand on my upset predictions…
#10 NC State over #7 Cal go ACC
Yay! I was right.
#9 Bucknell over #8 Arkansas just a feeling
… another good call
#12 Utah St over # 5 Washington there’s always a 5 /12 upset .. i just hope i’ve picked the right one .
Well… I didn’t. There were TWO. count them TWO 5/12 upsets. But not this one. Washington handled Utah St. just fine. Big East Cinderella Syracuse on the other hand couldn’t handle Texas AM
which brings me to…
#10 Seton Hall over #7 Wichita St Big East is a tough conference man
… apparently the Missouri Valley Conference is tougher conference than the Big East. Who knew?!
#9 Wisconsin over #8 Arizona hmm.. not really too sure about this one
I just should have gone with my gut. Arizona won.
