Obama’s Prayer

I am always suprised at the things that bring me out of blog hibernation.  My man has been all over the world this week and you haven’t heard a peep from me.  John McCain has been grocery shopping and I didn’t even have a wise crack about that.  But this thing about Obama’s actual prayer at the Western Wall has really upset me.

So my man goes to Jerusalem, dawns a yamuka and puts his private prayer into the ‘Solomon’s Wall’ and someone pulls it out.  Ay ay ay.  This is just crazy.  Can’t Obama have ANY privacy?  His conversations with God now have to be public?

Any bet the words of the prayer are going to be plastered all over the blogosphere, but you are not going to find it here.  People are going to use his words to say whatever they want.  Some people are going to say ’see I knew he was a Muslim’ because he asked the Lord to use him.

I really wonder if David Plouffe – Obama’s campaign manager and now a daily name in millions of email boxes across the country – figured the prayer would be public.  I really wonder.  Haven’t other famous people and dignitaries put in a prayer?  Were their prayers leaked?  Hmm…

Soooooo out of control.

U.N.I.T.Y

I came out of the mall today and found this car parked next to mine. (Yes, I did snap a picture with my phone camera).

Ithaca. Hillary. Obama. Vegitarian.  Yup.  That about sums it up.   Forget Unity, New Hampshire some people in Ithaca already have the Hillary- Obama unity thing down. By the way, I’m going to an Obama unity event this saturday… let you know how it goes.

Welcoming Brother John

Wasn’t it just yesterday that I was talking about how John Edwards was sitting on the sideline waiting for a vice presidential invitation?

I said..

John Edwards- I’m a little miffed at John. Where the heck is he anyway? He waiting on the sideline to see who wins so he can be VP? He might have endorsed Barack (or Hilary) a while back. I don’t appreciate his not taking a stand. He just mad that he didn’t get the love this year like he did the first time around.

Well, your man made his move today by endorsing Barack. It’s May. Barack has practically won the nomination. Where was John when we needed him before Texas, or before Ohio or before Pennsylvania?!?!? Man, I don’t appreciate this endorsement at all. I Denounce AND Reject it!! :-)

But Barack sent me this email today..

My good friend John Edwards is endorsing our campaign and joining our movement for change.

John ran a strong, principled campaign for president, focusing on a number of important issues where we share common ground — universal health care, bringing our troops home from Iraq, and eliminating poverty in America.

The way he ran his campaign was also important. He ran in a way that reflected our shared conviction that we need to fundamentally change politics.

Like our campaign, John’s campaign never accepted donations from Washington lobbyists or special interest PACs.

Let’s welcome John Edwards to the campaign with an outpouring of the kind of grassroots support that is bringing our political process back to the people.

What you trying to tell me Barack? I should welcome John with open arms? Man, John totally dogged us out. Ay ay ay. I am really miffed, but for you, Barack. I’ll do it…just this one time. But then you betta not ask me to embrace Hilary. That, I wont do. ;-)

The VP Short List

You heard it here first . Here is my take on the possible VPs for Barack…

  • Hillary – yeah.. no! This ‘dream team’ nonsense that some people are talking about is just that. Nonsense. There isn’t going to be any ‘brokered’ deal for Hil to get out so she can be the vice president. (And this idea of her being the Senate Majority Leader is crazy. Don’t do it Barack.. this woman gonna be a thorn in your side if she any where near the senate podium.
  • John Edwards- I’m a little miffed at John. Where the heck is he anyway? He waiting on the sideline to see who wins so he can be VP? He might have endorsed Barack (or Hilary) a while back. I don’t appreciate his not taking a stand. He just mad that he didn’t get the love this year like he did the first time around.
  • Michelle Obama- People are just crazy! That is so stupid. (Not cause anything wrong with Michelle, but we ent going to have 2 black people on a ticket for a while..and a black woman to boot…and the man wife on top) Ent gonna happen. :-)
  • Wesley Clark- This is my personal favorite. Wes is cute, he has all that military experience, and ..choke.. he is/was a Hilary supporter. Seriously, Barack does need to pick a Hil supporter to ‘reunite’ the party. But Hil isn’t it. :-)
  • Bill Richardson - Bill is a good man. Has a whole lotta diplomatic experience. But I don’t know if he going to get us more votes. I would actually pick Chris Dodd over Bill. But Chris is a Senator and we can’t have 2 senators on the ticket.
  • Ed Rendell- Who? Yeah. He’s the governor from Pennsylvania that supported Hil. He not a bad choice. Governor, man of the people etc etc. Hopefully he don’t have any ‘porn rings’ in his closet like my former governor.
  • Al Gore - A sexy choice, but I don’t think that gonna happen. Al has already been VP before. Why would he want to do that again? It is possible though, that we get a Gore/Obama ticket. Don’t sleep.
  • Kathleen Sebelius - Another governor. She from Kansas (Where Barack’s mama is from). Maybe the 50+ white women will vote for Barack if she on the ticket. Though Kathleen has been on the Barack boat for a long time.

I’m still rooting for Wes. We’ll see what I say in 3 months tho…

:-)
